It's an okay book
By BerryDirl
I got this book for my audiology class and I think for me the hard part is sometimes the layout of the topics are spaced out making it hard to locate or piece things together sometimes. I think that some details are also lacking like on the parts of various hearing aids was a bit difficult to do because they don't show a diagram in the book nor on the companion website. This book doesn't need a CD like some other college books I have used but the companion website wasn't very helpful either. My teacher seems to add a lot of video or additional reading into this class from a website (betterhearing.org) and some videos from youtube for further explanations. I am not the only student that can read this book and end up being confused on one area or another.
That being said I really think it did a good job explaining various hearing conditions. I learned some things that I have been told otherwise by my child's ENT and audiologist which I thought were wrong and now I have confirmation of what I was suspecting. So in that part it was worth the book.
